My Attempt to Join the Exclusive KarterKast Basketball Analysts Club

Let's start with a little story. This is my second year of being what I call a, "full-time" contributor to KarterKast. We as a group have had great success growing the brand, whether it is on TikTok, X, YouTube or Instagram, we all play a part in the growth of this brand. However, I couldn't help but notice that I NEVER get asked to do any basketball content. Why is that? Well, Connor and Karter have their exclusive club, and they think that because they are fans of CBB blue bloods that they can box me out of basketball content. Joke's on them, I hate basketball before the College Football season ends.

Even though I may not love college basketball, I have to show the boys club that this new dog from Ohio has some tricks up his sleeve. Michigan may not be a blue blood, but let's keep in mind that they should have won that National Championship in 2013.

In order to get my foot in the door, here are three college basketball picks that I have put together for this thing Karter likes to call, "feast week".

Kansas v. Marquette (+4.5)

Kansas signed the MIchigan transfer HUnter Dickinson in the offseason, and he has committed to playing the full-on villian. While the Jayhawks rank top ten in both offensive and defensive efficiency, their shooting leaves a lot to be desired when away from home, and I expect to see more of that.

Shaka Smart will have Kolek and the boys ready for this big matchup. The reigninn Big East regular season and tournament champions returned most of their key names, and I expect them to be able to contain Hunter Dickinson and keep this game close.

Tennessee (+2) v. Purdue

Is there any surprise that Tennessee has an elite defense? Rick Barnes has a history of building teams with an impressive defense and worrying about the offense later. My boy KenPom has them ranked as the top defense in the country. The addition of Knecht make this Tennessee team a force to be recksoned with, and the dynamic he brings to the table will give the Volunteers the push they need to keep this game close. With the spread beign so small, it helps that Tennessee has the free-throw shooting edge making nearly 80% of their free-throws.

Syracuse (+12.5) v. Gonzaga

I am getting bored doing this analysis. I am just going to take the double digit dog. Like I said, not a basketball guy. I don't reccomend you bet any of these.
